Hailing Confusion returns as an Adaptive pulse rifle which as a subfamily are currently rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic Endgame Analysis spreadsheet in https://www.destiny2.science/ as "small step down from C tier pulse damage profile, but has barrier intrinsic". The frame intrinsic offers no bonuses beyond "being well-rounded and reliable" as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are decent by comparison with its peers - you can see them at https://destiny.report/w/4236134153/hailing-confusion and hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/4236134153 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. The recoil is left and loose, so to tighten that up, look for a barrel perk that helps with Recoil Direction or, if you can handle it just go for extra handling, and then with the magazine perk go for any of the combat effect mags or something that helps improve magazine size or reload. For Stasis synergy and clearing groups of adds in general content, in the first trait perk column Rimestealer generates ×1 stack (×2 stacks when enhanced) of Stasis Frost Armor on shattering a Stasis crystal or killing a frozen enemy, or Headstone generates a Stasis crystal on a crit kill. In the second column, Crystalline Corpsebloom procs on a kill to provide a 4s buff - kills with the buff active generate a Stasis seeker which travels 3m before spawning a medium Stasis crystal (large when enhanced). The Stasis crystals are weapon-generated entities so can inherit damage buffs, and proc Stasis subclass fragments when shattered for AoE damage. The Winterized Gear origin trait provides ×3 stacks after 12s out of combat - each stack decays after 5s in combat providing a gradually reducing boost to Stability, Handling and Reload Speed. If you're interested, the name reflect the harsh, disorienting nature of Europa's freezing storms as well as Clovis Bray's calculated military philosophy. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.

In the second column, Meganeura builds up to ×3 stacks on crit hits for a refreshable 3.5s (4s when enhanced) for AoE explosive damage in a 7.5m radius on a crit kill. Unfortunately, the explosion occurs slightly before the Headstone stasis crystal is formed, so you'll need to shatter the crystal manually. The Winterized Gear origin trait provides ×3 stacks after 12s out of combat - each stack decays after 5s in combat providing a gradually reducing boost to Stability, Handling and Reload Speed.
