Phoneutria Fera is one of a new hand cannon subfamily - Spread Shot, combining elements of hand cannons and shotguns. At base, there's not really much of a comparison to be made as the only other example has a completely different stat package - this looks like HC values, whereas Aureus Neutralizer looks more like a shotgun. That said, d2foundry.gg hasn't worked out the formula to calculate real-world values from stats at time of writing, but the Range is 35 - this does seem to be fixed at around 25m, after which pellets just vanish, Stability is 40, Handling is 35, Reload Speed is 25. Ammo Generation is 56, Recoil Direction is 93, and Zoom is 14. Bumping up Handling with the barrel perk will make the gunfeel noticibly snappier, but on controller you might want to look at Stability too. For the magazine perk, Tactical Mag, Flared Magwell and Alloy Mag are all reliable options for boosting gunfeel stats. With an engagement range of 25m max, CQC perks are going to be useful in the trait perk columns. Threat Remover is strong - hitting 11 of 12 pellets (10 out of 12 when enhanced) improves Handling, Stability and Reload Speed for 7s, as is Threat Detector which boosts Stability by up to +40, Reload Speed by up to +60 (+44 and +63 when enhanced), and Handling by up to +100 with an ×0.81 animation modifier when within 15m of two or more enemies. For melee builds, Proximity Power can stack three times to provide +15 (+18 when enhanced) to your Melee stat per stack - a total a +45 (+54) for 10s, refreshable on further kills. In the second column, One-Two Punch boosts melee damage by +75% for 3s (melee damage buffs are additive rather than multiplicative) on hitting all 12 pellets (10 when enhanced) - that's less than a shotgun, but the unlimited ammo for primary weapons makes the tradeoff worthwhile. The Tenacity Origin Trait is solid in PvE, stack up to ×30 on kills, with each stack providing a ×1.005 boost (so up to ×1.15 - the same as Frenzy) and +2 to both Handling and Reload, until you're killed. If you're interested, Phoneutria fera is a mix of Greek and Latin that translates as "Murderess, wild animal" and is a species of South American spider, commonly known as the Brazilian Wandering Spider or Banana Spider. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod/enhanced mod to boost weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.
