It's still an Aggressive Burst pulse rifle which as a subfamily are currently rated D-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic Endgame Analysis spreadsheet in https://www.destiny2.science/ as "essentially just a poor high-impact auto, but arguably worse due to 4-burst nature". The frame intrinsic offers built-in anti-Unstoppable and fires a four-round burst as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats make this the best in class by comparison with its peers - you can see the stats at https://destiny.report/w/2631356658/blast-furnace and hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/2631356658 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. The recoil is vertical and a bit loose, so to tighten that up, look for a barrel perk that helps with Recoil Direction or, if you can handle it just go for extra handling, and then with the magazine perk go for something that helps improve magazine size or reload. For clearing groups of adds in general content, in the first trait perk column Kinetic Tremors emits three 6m AoE Kinetic shockwaves after 11 hits (10 when enhanced) within 3s of each other, which are treated as weapon damage so can inherit damage boosts from Chaos Reshaped in the second column, which stacks up to ×2 on dealing or recoving damage within a 5s window for at least 12s (11.5s when enhanced) - at ×1 it provides a ×1.2 damage boost for a refreshable 7s and then at ×2 provides ×1.35 damage for a refreshable 7s together with a healing burst of up to 35HP that also starts health regeneration. The Forge's Kin origin trait provides a ×1 stack of "Forge's Kin" for 5s after a kill, or on swapping from another Black Armory weapon kill within 7s. Each additional Black Armory weapon equipped adds an additional stack, each boosting the activation window by +2s together with increasing Reload Speed and Ammo Generation and damage boosts of ×1.05 and ×1.07 (×1.1 and ×1.13 enhanced). Alternatively, kills with the Indomitability origin trait provides 5% melee energy with a Darkness super equipped or 5% grenade energy with a Light super (6% for either enhanced). If you're interested, a blast furnace is an industrial smelter that relies on extreme, searing heat and a continuous blast of air to melt down raw iron ore into usable metal. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.
