Flared MagwellThe reprised Joxer's Longsword is a Heavy Burst pulse rifle which as a subfamily are currently rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic Endgame Analysis spreadsheet in https://www.destiny2.science/ as "essentially just a worse high-impact auto". The frame intrinsic offers built-in anti-Unstoppable, fires a 2-round burst and grants ×0.9 flinch when ADS as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are okay by comparison with its peers - you can see the stats at https://destiny.report/w/2150012406/joxers-longsword hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/2150012406 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. The recoil is right-ish and a little loose, so to tighten that up, look for a barrel perk that helps with Recoil Direction or, if you can handle it just go for extra handling, and then with the magazine perk go for one of the combat effect mags or something that helps improve magazine size or reload. For dealing with add groups and synergising with Void builds, in the first trait perk column, Repulsor Brace provides a ×0.5 damage resisting Void overshield for 8s (10s when enhanced) after killing a void-debuffed enemy - duration boosted by ×1.5 with Echo of Persistence. In the second column you have the full set of void perks - Destabilizing Rounds spreads Void Volatility on a kill in a 6.5m radius and provides Volatile Rounds for 4.5s (5.25s when enhanced), Demoralize spreads a ~4m AoE cloud of Void Weaken to nearby enemies for a ×1.15 boost to damage for your fireteam for 3s (5s when enhanced) on a crit kill or Withering Gaze applies the Void Weaken debuff to targets after ADS-ing for 1.4s (1.3s enhanced) for ×1.15 damage for a refreshable 6s for your fireteam, but if the stronger ×1.3 weaken has been applied from Tractor Cannon or Shadowshot, a proc will reapply at the higher value. There's a choice of origin traits - Roar of Battle grants +10 Stability and Handling for 6s after dealing or taking damage every 0.5s or so for 2s or Nadir Focus grants stacks for 2s for each shot fired to boost Range by up to +10 and Accuracy Cone Size to ×0.925 after ~4 bursts. If you're interested, Joxer's Longsword gets its name from Joxer, a veteran, but tragic Titan whose storyline is one of the most notoriously heroic - and foolhardy - tales in Destiny's lore. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.

For dealing with add groups and synergising with Void builds, in the first trait perk column, Dragonfly procs a 4.5m Void explosion on a crit kill - this counts as weapon damage so can inherit damage boosts. In the second column you have Void perks for a double damage roll - Destabilizing Rounds spreads Void Volatility on a kill in a 6.5m radius and provides Volatile Rounds for 4.5s (5.25s when enhanced), or Demoralize spreads a ~4m AoE cloud of Void Weaken to nearby enemies for a ×1.15 boost to damage for your fireteam for 3s (5s when enhanced) on a crit kill. For dealing with tougher individual adds, and to synergise with grenade builds, there's the tried and trusted trait perk combination of Demolitionist to generate chunk grenade ability energy on kills and an instant magazine refill on grenade use and Adrenaline Junkie which generates up to ×5 stacks on kills for +20 handling and ×1.33 damage, with a grenade kill giving an instant 5 stacks, for a refreshable 4.5s (5s when enhanced).
