Build a roll
Increased damage versus powerful combatants. Very low heat generated. [Reload] to vent heat from the weapon. Overheating forces a sustained vent. Manually venting at very high heat greatly increases venting speed.

One for AllInspired by @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for single-target damage against tougher enemies in general at-level or better content. Zealous Ideal is a Balanced Heat frame auto rifle, with a precision firing rate, which are rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic being similar in performance to other autos. The heat frame is like an extra perk set, first providing reduced heat generation, significantly increasing the number of shots before overheating, and providing a pseudo-Reconstruction, automatically "refilling" as the weapon loses heat when not being used. Additionally, there's an intrinsic ×1.15 damage boost against orange and yellow bars and vehicles, plus a ×2 vent rate if you manually reload when the heat bar is at >87.5% of maximum heat to proc Perfect Vent, as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are good by comparison with other precision autos - see https://d2foundry.gg/w/1863583117 for how the weapon stats impact in-game performance, once the formulas have been worked out. With the effect of the precision intrinsic reducing horizonal yaw to ×0.8 you can ignore Recoil Direction and focus on Handling with the barrel perk. For the heatsink perk, look for something that reduces heat generation, or improves cooling efficiency or vent speed. For an auto to use with solar builds, Heal Clip provides ×2 Cure (140 HP), and ×1 Cure on allies within 15m, when you finish a reload within ~5.3s (~5.5s when enhanced) after a kill. Alternatively, Attrition Orbs spawns a power orb after 21 hits within 5s of each other to proc all your useful armour mods - you'll spawn 2-3 orbs from cold to overheated, depending on the heatsink perk. To improve damage, in the second column, One For All boosts damage by ×1.35 for a non-refreshable 10s (11s when enhanced) after hitting three separate targets within 3s of each, or Onslaught doesn't increase total damage per magazine but, as you ramp up to the maximum 3 stacks, it does increase raw DPS for a refreshable 4.5s per kill (5s when enhanced), to increase RPM from 450 to around 620. The Origin Trait, Imperial Allegiance grants a stack for each ally in 15m, up to ×3, to boost both the cooling rate and damage when heat is >50% by up to a max of ×1.105, so is ideal for working in a fireteam. If you're interested, this is modelled on the E-11 medium blaster rifle, the standard-issue weapon for the Galactic Empire's stormtroopers. Recommended MW: Cooling Efficiency, with a Heat Generated mod or your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.

For the heatsink perk, look for something that reduces heat generation, or improves cooling efficiency or vent speed. For an auto to use with solar builds that generate Firesprites, Cooling Baubles reduces weapon heat by 33% for each Elemental pickup or power orb collected. Alternatively, Incandescent is great for add group control, spreading +30 Scorch stacks within 4m on a red bar Minor add kill (+40 stacks within 8m for orange and yellow bars, +45 when enhanced). The Origin Trait, Imperial Allegiance grants a stack for each ally in 15m, up to ×3, to boost both the cooling rate and damage when heat is >50% by up to a max of ×1.105, so is ideal for working in a fireteam. Burning AmbitionInspired by @CourtProjects, @Saint_Kabr and and @ImpetusAlways (PvE PvE-MinorSpec PvE-EndGame PvE-God M+KB Controller): First-choice PvE roll for single-target damage against tougher enemies in both general at-level or better, and end-game underleveled content, particularly for solar builds. Zealous Ideal is a Balanced Heat frame auto rifle, with a precision firing rate, which are rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic being similar in performance to other autos. Burning Ambition works to build ignitions on tougher targets - it's faster with a solar ability to apply scorch initially, otherwise it'll take ~16 hits to apply +10 scorch stacks with stacks added on additional hits to build towards an ignition at 100. All of the scorch stacks are increased by ×1.5 with Ember of Ashes. The Origin Trait, Imperial Allegiance grants a stack for each ally in 15m, up to ×3, to boost both the cooling rate and damage when heat is >50% by up to a max of ×1.105, so is ideal for working in a fireteam.
