Recurrent Impact is a rapid fire LMG, which are rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://www.destiny2.science/ who says "good damage profile but mediocre total damage and worst recoil of any LMG frame". The frame intrinsic offers built in Anti-Overload, better total ammo reserves and a ×0.8 reload animation scalar when the magazine is empty as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are good by comparison with its peers - you can see them at https://destiny.report/w/1572896086/recurrent-impact and hopefully https://d2foundry.gg/w/1572896086 will show how weapon stats impact in-game performance when the site is back up and running. The recoil direction is left of vertical and loose so you could improve recoil control or look to boost Stability to help hit crits, or Handling if you can land your shots. In the magazine perk slot, perks that improve Reload Speed or mag size are the best available. For Minor add-clearing in tougher content, the tried and tested SOFA pairing of Stats for All for a boost of +35 to Handling and Reload Speed with a ×0.95 reload animation scalar, +10 to Stability and Range with a ×1.05 damage dropoff distance and One For All to boost damage by ×1.35 for a non-refreshable 11s after hitting three separate targets within 3s of each. Alternatively Subsistence reloads 20% of the magazine on kills in the first trait perk slot, and Frenzy in the second column boosts Handling and Reload Speed by +100 and boosts damage by ×1.15 for a refreshable 7.2s after being in combat for 12s - that's dealing or taking damage. If you're in a fireteam, Firing Line passively boosts crit damage by ×1.2 when you're within 15m of two or more allies. Aegis ranks the Land Tank origin trait as S-Tier - it's strong for PvE, stacking up to ×3 on kills to provide +10 to your Health stat and a max ×0.85 damage resistance for 5s. If you're interested, the name doubles as a literal description of its rapid-fire function and a subtle nod to the psychological trauma of mind-altering psionic manipulation central to its narrative debut in Season of the Risen. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds.

The recoil direction is left of vertical and loose so you could improve recoil control or look to boost Stability to help hit crits, or Handling if you can land your shots. In the magazine perk slot, perks that improve Reload Speed or mag size are the best available. Recurrent Impact can be used for add clear with Stasis builds, perhaps supporting a double special loadout. For that, Field Prep in the first trait perk column grants +55 Reload Speed with a ×0.8 animation scalar to both reload and ready/stow when crouched, and bumps Ammo Generation by +40, which together with a Bandolier or Abundant Ammo mod pushes Ammo Generation to 80 or more. In the second column, Headstone generates a Stasis crystal on a crit kill - these are weapon-generated entities so can inherit damage buffs, and proc Stasis subclass fragments when shattered for AoE damage. Aegis ranks the Land Tank origin trait as S-Tier - it's strong for PvE, stacking up to ×3 on kills to provide +10 to your Health stat and a max ×0.85 damage resistance for 5s.
