Crystalline CorpsebloomHawthorne's Field-Forged Shotgun is now a lightweight shotgun, which are rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic offering high QoL given its bonuses but an awful damage profile. The frame intrinsic offers +20 to Mobility and ×1.0625 base movement speed as per the https://www.destiny2.science/ Destiny Data Compendium. The stats are below average by comparison with its peers - hopefully when the website's back https://d2foundry.gg/w/3421075982 will show how the weapon stats impact in-game performance. Use the barrel perk to Handling or Range, or maybe tighten pellet spread, and then with the magazine perk you'll want something that improves magazine size, or Assault Mag improves RPM. As the damage profile isn't great, for add group control Crystalline Corpsebloom procs on a kill to provide a 4s buff - kills with the buff active generate a Stasis seeker which travels 3m before spawning a medium Stasis crystal (large when enhanced) - these are weapon-generated entities so can inherit damage buffs, and proc weapon traits and subclass fragments when shattered for AoE damage. To help keep the mag topped off, first column refill and reload perks like Slideshot, Grave Robber or Threat Detector make sense. Alternatively Lead from Gold is always a top-tier perk, saving on Ammo Generation, Scavenger and Finder mods. For a melee build, Proximity Power stacks up ×3 times to provide +15 (+18 enhanced) to your Melee attribute per stack on kills when another enemy's within 15m - a total a +45 (+54) for a refreshable 10s on further kills including those from Corpsebloom crystal shattering. The Field-Tested origin trait starts subtly but if you can stay alive to get kills, you'll start to feel the gunfeel stat boosts as you get to the higher stacks. Recommended MW: Handling, with your preferred choice of mod to boost weapon stats, ammo generation, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.

Chill ClipHawthorne's Field-Forged Shotgun is now a lightweight shotgun, which are rated C-Tier for endgame PvE by @TheAegisRelic tiering spreadsheet https://linktr.ee/TheAegisRelic offering high QoL given its bonuses but an awful damage profile. Use the barrel perk to Handling or Range, or maybe tighten pellet spread, and then with the magazine perk you'll want something that improves magazine size, or Assault Mag improves RPM. As the damage profile isn't great, for end-game use, Chill Clip in the second trait perk column is the play to disrupt Overload Champions and control tougher adds, applying +60 stacks of Stasis Slow (freezing targets after 2 hits) within a 4m AoE for 4s on a hit - 8s with Whisper of Durance - with ammo in the top half of the base mag size. To help keep the mag topped out for Chill Clip, first column refill and reload perks like Slideshot, Grave Robber or Threadt Detector make sense. Alternatively Lead from Gold is always a top-tier perk, saving on Ammo Generation, Scavenger and Finder mods. The Field-Tested origin trait starts subtly but if you can stay alive to get kills, you'll start to feel the gunfeel stat boosts as you get to the higher stacks. Chill ClipThe archetype is poor and the Perk 1 column is lacking. Especially with the nerf to Shatter effects Chill Clip is not what it once was." Recommended MW: Reload, Handling, Range.
