Flared MagwellShoreline Dissident is a rapid fire sniper, so the best subfamily for damage output - the frame provides a useful ×0.8 reload animation multiplier when reloading from an empty mag. At base, by comparison with its peers, the stats are good - Range is 35, but is largely irrelevant, and d2foundry.gg calculates 45 Stability is ×1.0313 flinch resist at base, 70 Handling is 0.32s ready, 0.37s ADS and 0.29s stow speed, and 60 Reload Speed is a 2.69s reload (2.15s when the mag's empty). Ammo Generation is 55, Recoil Direction is 55, and Zoom is 35. With the barrel perk, bump up to recoil control on controller or add Handling for M+KB. Tactical Mag boosts the mag size to 7, but if you don't get that, Appended Mag works to, or look for a reload boosting option. For sustained damage, in the first trait perk column Triple Tap refills one round from reserves after three crit hits - with the max 7 in the magazine that's up to 10 shots without reloading. For damage, depending on your circumstances you could use Precision Instrument boosts damage by up to ×1.25 after six crits, if you're in an elevated position then High Ground also provides ×1.25 damage, or if there are adds that you can kill with an opposite type of weapon or ability energy (that would be darkness - so Stasis or Strand kills) boost damage by ×1.25 for 8.5s. The Bray Legacy Origin Trait is solid in PvE, although less useful on a sniper, generating around 0.2% energy per hit for whichever ability is closest to a full charge. Recommended MW: Handling or Stability, with your preferred choice of mod/enhanced mod to boost weapon stats, ammo regeneration, or elemental pickups for builds - and don't forget to check any available seasonal fragile mods.

For burst damage, in the first trait perk column Explosive Payload passively boosts crit damage by ×1.044 and bodyshots by ×1.15. In the second column, depending on your circumstances Binary Orbit boosts damage by ×1.25 for 8.5s if you've recently killed an add with an opposite type of energy (which would be darkness - so Stasis or Strand), or if you're in an elevated position then High Ground also provides ×1.25 damage.
